Barbie's Latest Thoughts on Slim in 6

Dear Boys and Girls,

I am back to Slim in 6 because I am looking to trim down a little and um, burn a few more of those weekend splurging calories. It's only been a week and I can already SEE and FEEL the difference.

Excuse the morning bedhead, but this Barbie doesn't care!

Today is Monday, let's make it happen!!! Get in touch with me if you need extra support. I'm with you on this journey!

Bring it!

One of my workout partners got Slim in 6 after having one of her children, hoping to get back into shape with it, and she said all of the workouts just made her feel really sick afterwards (or sometimes even during the workout where she couldn't finish). We workout together regularly now, and she tried it again just recently and said it did the same thing to her, so I know it's not just her being out of shape. Have you ever heard this happening to anyone else?

Hey, girl. :)

I love that you are my faithful reader! <3

Honestly, it doesn't make sense that she can't workout JUST to BB workouts. It might be something about the BB workouts--i'm thinking the INTENSITY, maybe?--that is making her sick.

She should probably see a doctor and ask him/her. I have heard people say that they feel nausea when they try to work out (both with and without BB products), but it is usually related to food. Some people need to eat a little while before or can't eat at all.

Again, I'm not sure. I would definitely ask a doctor. :)

p.s. Is there something that you'd like to see on this blog? Ya, I take requests!

Hi Barbie, I am an avid follower of your blog. I'm glad you update it everyday, most people don't. Anyway, I got real sick last week (first time in 2 years) and I didn't work out the whole week. Thankfully, it was my recovery week in p90x. Anyway, how do you deal with being sick? Do you make the week or phase up, or do you just keep going?

Thanks,

Adam

Hey, Adam,

If you're sick, you're sick and you just use the time to rest. Some people crazily work through it anyway, but to me, that doesn't make sense. Your body is sick and trying to recover. To pound it some more doesn't make sense. So, REST, and then workout when you are feeling better.

Also, my advice is to try to eat as clean as possible when you're sick. I know sometimes you can't really eat, but I mean, I think people use illness as an excuse to pig out.

Feel better!!

Also, I try to update it every day, but life gets super duper busy sometimes.

I'll be gone from Monday thru Friday. Maybe I can get a guest blogger!

Happy 4th, peeps!

Hi Barbie, thanks for the reply. I did take it easy all week, I simply did not have the energy to do more. It was hard not to pig out, I can't explain it, but I have the urge to when I'm sick. Thanks for the advice, I appreciate it.

Well, the thing is, it's not a problem with ALL BeachBody workouts, just Slim in 6. I've never tried them since she doesn't like them, but I own both Turbo Jam and Yoga Booty Ballet, and we do those often. She really enjoys them and never has a problem. So I was just wondering if you had ever heard of that problem with just Slim in 6 before.

Adam: I think we can all relate wanting to pig out when we're sick. I think it has to do with needing comfort, but I don't know. :) I think this is where Self control and determination come in. It's hardddd!!

Screwdestiny: I've been thinking about this, and again, it just doesn't make sense to me that this product alone would be responsible for it. I mean, let's look at the moves: moving side to side, arms up, lunges, squats, and leg lifts. These moves, taken separately, are in almost all other resistance workouts. What it could be, I can't think of anything else, is the intensity. You hardly get to rest in SLim in 6. It's go! go! go!

You might want to post this question to one of the fitness experts on the forums. Go under FITNESS category. I'm actually very curious.

And as far as other people saying that, yes, but it has always had to do with food, whether or not they eat first thing in the morning. Some people need to eat a little something in the morning to not feel sick.
