A Glimpse at Barbie's Slim Spot: Angela's Results!!

Dear Boys and Girls,

Angela, a regular poster on my forum, Barbie's Slim Spot, posted the above before and after pictures. We were all in awe! Since November, she's lost almost 30 lbs and went from a size 12 to a size 6. Oh, yes, success is most certainly possible!

Here is Angela's first post. I am copying it here to show that life's curveballs don't have to derail us. Congrats, Angela!!! We are all super duper proud of you!

Bring it!

Hi Barbie (and Slim Spotters)!

Sorry - it's been a long time since I posted! We moved, had my sister's wedding, and tons of other stuff. BUT - I haven't fallen behind on exercise at all!

Even during moving, I managed to get in 3 days - and the other 4 days of that week were spent carrying boxes anyway! emoticon

I completed 1 round of P90X - wow - it was hard, but I'm surprisingly hooked! I'm on my fourth week of a Slim Series rotation (because I missed Debbie so much!) and after that, I'm on to round 2 of P90X!

I thought I'd share some pics. I'm so excited about my progress!

The pics are from November - after 1 round of SI6 - when I was 171 lbs. The after pics are from May right after completing P90X. I went down to 144! And from a size 12 to a size 6! WHAT?!?! Who even knew that was possible?

(And I'm so in for the next challenge - I need to tighten up my eating!)

Here goes! (Have a great day, everyone!)

I then asked Angela to share with us WHAT MADE THE DIFFERENCE? What contributed to her success. This is what she wrote:

Hi guys!

What made the difference?

Taking it one week at a time. And often one day at a time. I used my day planner to write down EVERY workout. Even workouts way in advance. I already have my next P90X round in my calendar - which will take me all the way up to the end of September, which is when my 1 year anniversary with Beachbody is!

When I'm done working out, I highlight my workout in yellow.

When I get discouraged or feel tired, I look back and see ALL THE YELLOW in my calendar and think - do I really want to undo all this for a pizza? Or because I feel lazy? Heck no! And I push through it.

What REALLY worked? You guys. The message boards. Even before I posted, I checked threads, read ALL of the success stories, etc. When I joined the challenge in February or March on this thread, I thought, "This is the push I need to really do it."

So, no matter if I had time to post or not, I knew there were real people out there doing the same thing I was and getting results.

And another thing that helped, Barbie, you're so honest. You're honest about your pitfalls, weaknesses, and challenges. Those details are just as important as the successes. I feel that it shows character to admit those weaknesses (like Margaritas or Pina Coladas!) and do something about them.

Barbie, if you'd be my cooch, I'd love it. I'm not sure I have one.

I have my own weaknesses, and I think you cooching me through maintaining will be even more vital than in the beginning. Results, of course, keep you going. When you're ALMOST there and AFTER you're there, is when you really need Barbie!

So, yes, share my photos wherever. I'm proud of my results - and I'm still going!

Round 2 of P90X starts on June 29th! I can't wait!

Have a great day, everyone - and THANKS SO MUCH for the encouragement!

Angela
