Dear Boys and Girls,
In the past week, I have moved from Santa Monica back to Dallas, from the 14th to the 18th floor (I didn't have internet for a few days!), started work again, and lost 2 lbs. Hip hip hurray!!
How'd you do it, Barbie? How'd you do it?
On Monday, August 24th, we started the 20-day Eating Clean and Pressing Play Challenge. The challenge involves eating exclusively from the top 2 tiers of Michi's ladder. Also allowed, I noted, are Shakeology (the healthiest meal of the day), supplements, and natural almond or peanut butter. We also made an exception for sugar-free gum.
I warned everyone beforehand that we would make no exceptions and that participants had to enter the no whining zone.
Well, boys and girls, it works! Eating clean, I mean really clean, works!! I am down to 131 and many people on my forum, Barbie's Slim Spot, have lost about 2 lbs so far and we are only on day 6. For me, as for many, this is great news because we have been STUCK on a plateau. Michi's ladder has allowed us to break that stinking plateau.

Here is a typical day for me:
whole grain cereal
egg substitutes or egg whites
protein bar (yes, it's on Michi's list!)
spray oil and balsamic vinegar
sauteed or steamed veggies (broccoli, string beans, etc.)
salt/pepper rub or spices. no sauces.
no diet drinks.
I have to say, I feel great!! I had my cheat meal last night and realized it wasn't that much fun. But, it's good to be naughty sometimes. I'm ready to eat super duper clean again.
