Debbie Is Doing Her Magic! Could it Be?!

Yesterday was day 60 of P90x for me. If you read yesterday's blog entry then you know I was disappointed with where I was, not because P90x didn't deliver, but because I was beginning to build too much muscle. I noticed this about three weeks ago when my size two dress was a bit too snug because of my big guns!

Last week, instead of following the prescribed recovery week, I Burned it Up with Debbie Siebers' Slim in 6 weight-loss program. I am now on my 9th or 10th day (including my rest day) of Debbie, and I am shocked to see what my progress photos reveal. I haven't lost a single pound, but as if all of a sudden, I am leaning out.

Hip, Hip, Hurray is correct!

Surely there is a lesson to be learned in all of my whining! Yes, yes, I am sure of it. Here it is:

Whine all you want, but be willing to adjust and fine tune your workouts and eating, and you WILL get the results you seek! It takes time, effort, and patience (which, truth be told, I do not have!) But, I have been, excuse my language, busting my butt to find something that works for me. I am my own greatest coach, I do declare!

I wish patience could be bought or easily acquired. I admit, the last few weeks have been tough on me. I trust Debbie's ability to lean out ANY BODY (yes, Karen, even yours. My friend swears she's immune to Debbie), but I have lacked the patience to let the program do its magic. Oh, I am a work in progress, always striving to be better, not always succeeding at every attempt.

I said it last night and I will say it again: the journey is not always an easy one, but it is certainly one worth making.

Bring it!
