Bodybugg. Burn, Baby, Burn!
Dear Boys and Girls,
So: I finally got the bodybugg to work after many frustrating hours. I'm not sure what the problem was, but after rebooting my Mac computer three times, it finally worked. They do say the third time's the charm.
At some point during my day, I expressed my frustration about the bodybuff on Twitter, and within a few hours I had a bodybugg specialist offering me help. Wow. That was nice! And within twentyfour hours, I had a personalized email from another bodybugg specialist writing to say that she had heard I had experienced difficulty and that she was also there to help.
Holy moly! Bad news travels fast and they know it! That's great for us, and great for me, because it lessened my frustration. The response I received almost made me realize the power of social media. We do have a voice!
Okay, so I'll admit, I'm resistant to this new device. Why?
Because I feel like a ROBOT with an armband that I'm supposed to wear for 23 hours a day. And honestly, I hate the idea of being so calorie-obsessive.
But, no one is forcing me to wear it! And heck, for 300 dollars, this is truly a luxury item!
Despite my resistance to gadgets, I decided to try it because it was there, #1. My boyfriend bought it and gave me the go-ahead to put it to use. I couldn't just let it sit there! So, I tried it. #2, I really am open to new technologies even though the learning curve for me tends to be steep. I am a S L O W learner when it comes to technology, but as I said, open! And reason #3, I decided to give it a go because if Chalene Johnson and reputable others swear on its capacity to help them reach their fitness goals faster, then why not!
So, how am I liking it? Well, I still find it annoying to have this thing on my arm. It doesn't pass too well as a fashion statement. But, whatever. But, how do I LIKE it?
Omg! It's really awesome to know with over 90% accuracy how many calories I burn doing what activities. I burned 350 calories doing Turbo Jam and almost as many cleaning my house. It's a great thing I like to clean and I'm thinking maybe, just maybe, that's why I am fit! Okay, maybe not. But what I'm learning is that all activity counts.
The Bodybugg is helping me think about what I put into my body, how I move my body, how I don't move my body...
There's much more to say on this neat, little, and sometimes annoying device. Stay tuned, but for now, let me tell you: I have burned 1262 calories and it's only 1pm. Burn, baby, burn!
Bring it!
